I’ve always had a problem with sitting down and focusing towards finishing a goal. Like the Risque Romance series was originally supposed to be 26 stories, or 13 books. It’s only 3 so far. I got distracted by other things, realized 13 books was probably a bit much, and settled on a trilogy of them for now.

What can I say about West Virginia Penitentiary? Well, most places we visit as part of a public hunt, we mark down to later do a private hunt at. It’s just nicer… you get the place to yourselves, you can be in it longer, and you have time to sit and really delve into the responses you’re getting instead of being hurried along during the tours. WVP is one we unanimously decided we will not be going back to.

On our trip to Cleveland, we went to B.A. Sweeties as a side trip, but our real reason for heading there was the West Side Market. A Cleveland institution, this place has been running since 1912! We had checked out the website, the vendors list, and thought we were mostly prepared. We were not.

Cleveland OH. Home to what is known as the Largest Candy Store in America. That’s a pretty big boast, right? Of course, when we headed to Cleveland, we had to check it out for ourselves. At first glance, I wasn’t super impressed, to be honest. It didn’t look that impressive from the outside. The land houses Golfland Park, a soda and ice cream shoppe, plus the candy warehouse. So yeah, it looked a lot smaller than I expected for the hype.

True Crime fans, rejoice! I’ve always liked a person who has a sardonic, sarcastic sense of humor. Lt. Joe Kenda is the perfect blend of sarcastic and intelligent, informed and witty. This 9 season series takes you through some of his most memorable cases as a homicide detective with the Colorado Springs Police Department.

Well, if this isn’t a show to make me feel a bit better about myself, I don’t know what is! No matter how bad my OCD and anxiety gets, I can at least say I’m not as bad as Monk. That’s a good starting point, right? Right!??! I digress. Reruns were running, and we started DVRing. Then we binged. A good time was had.

First, you have to suspend a fair bit of belief. No hospital would allow an egomanical addict to become a complete liability the way Dr. House does. Once you get past that, though? The show is an entertaining diagnostic carnival.
