I have IDD- Internet Distraction Disorder. I’m making light of it, but it’s honestly a serious problem for me. When you’re running multiple businesses, any one of them can have something needing done at any random time, which takes your attention off everything else.
Bonus, when you also have to manage social media accounts, you get lost in that rabbit hole, and don’t come up for hours after remembering you probably have to eat and drink something. Most of my work is done at a laptop, so the opportunities for wandering off on the internet and forgetting what I was supposed to be doing are exceptionally high.
I’ve realized that putzing along on goals while getting distracted isn’t helping me in the long run. I’ve got too many things I want to do, too many things I want to see. For 2020, I’ve sat down and created a schedule that I hope I’ll be able to stick to, and will eventually see some results as everything runs better. 🙂
Mondays will be blog days. Every Monday, barring emergencies or flare-ups, you’ll be getting a new blog post from me.
Tuesdays and Wednesdays will be writing days. I won’t be online at all these days, as I’ll be diving into writing and the internet will be off.
Mornings will be used for crafting, so I don’t fall behind on my crafting businesses.
This will hopefully be my schedule for the foreseeable future. I’m going to be involved in multiple charity anthologies this year, which I’ll share more about as I have information. I’m scheduled for 4 signing events, ticket links and information will be posted as soon as i get those as well. All in all, 2020 is shaping up to be an exciting year, and I can’t wait to get started!
