I picked this book up at a recent book signing event because the cover was adorable and I thought my nieces and nephews would love it. Before putting their copy in the family Easter basket, I went through and read it myself, in case they had questions or anything.
This book is really cute! I love how the author handled the way Harry speaks. It’s young in tone, yes, but she carries it off with ease and makes it still very readable, especially as the other cats are older and provide a sense of balance.
What I loved most is the meaning behind it. In today’s world of bullies and kids having problems fitting it, showing that sometimes first impressions aren’t necessarily the true ones is such a good lesson. If you give others a chance, even if they’re different than you, you may find you have more in common than you think and could end up becoming good friends.
I would wholeheartedly recommend it! My niece is currently reading it to her little brother. 🙂
